Cuckmere Haven Remains (2017)

On the 4th of July, 2017, the 'severley decomposed' body of a woman was recovered by Coastguard and Lifeboat teams. The body had been seen at the shore near the fourth Seven Sister in Sussex.

A Hastings inquest heard that the victim had suffered injuries consistent with a fall from a great height and police say her death is not being treated as suspicious. In a statement to the court the post-mortem examiner said her finger prints, DNA, and a dental examination had been taken but it is still not known who she was.

The woman was wearing two necklaces (see images below) and had red nail varnish on all of her toenails. The woman had dark, shoulder-length hair (dyed red) and had a medium build.

Theories

There has been some speculation as to whether the body could belong to Svitlana Krasnoselska (40), who had gone missing a few months before from Leeds. There is a striking similarity between the sketch and Svitlana, however no connection has been publically made by the police.
