In the early hours of the 7th of February, 2009, David Currier (35) was murdered at his home in Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove. His 6 year-old son was asleep upstairs in his room. David died from blood loss from a single stab wound to his leg.
Worried neighbours found the toddler in his pyjamas, sitting at the top of the stairs at the home. Police found evidence of a break-in and evidence there had been multiple people in the house - and there were also bloody footprints.
Witnesses reported seeing a white Ford transit van and a dark red hatch-back car, possibly a Hyundai, in the area of Birmingham Road and School Lane at approximately 12.30am that Saturday morning. Four men were also seen on the driveway of the Birmingham Road house a few hours before Mr Currier’s body was found.
