On the 7th of March, 2018, Georgina Gharsallah (30) was last seen on CCTV in a shop on Clifton Road, Worthing at 10am. She had arranged to meet her father, Gasem, after collecting a mobile phone, but she did not turn up. Her family says all contact with her mobile phone ended at 11am and to “all intents and purposes she has vanished off the face of the earth”.
Georgina is also a mother-of-two who had been living with her mother Andrea, after splitting up with her partner. The father of her children was her previous partner, but they were estranged. Appeals describe Goergina as an Arabic speaker, 5ft 2in (1.57m) tall, with shoulder-length dark hair often worn in a top knot, and a piercing above her left lip.
The Investigation
A murder inquiry began in August 2019.
In a press conference on the 16th of September 2020, Georgina’s mother Andrea and journalist Donal MacIntyre said that a bank account linked to a Playstation device Georgina owned was triggered in the last three weeks with a debit card payment of £7.99 made in July.
In March 2021, Georgina's mum reported that she has been in contact with police over the discovery of human remains, including a skull, found by workmen on the B2141 near Chichester on January 28th.
