Owen Harding (16) was last seen on the 26th of March 2020, when claimed he was leaving the house to go for a walk. This occured just three days after Boris Johnson announced the first national coronavirus lockdown and Owen was living with family in their house in Saltdean, East Sussex.
Owen had been struggling with lockdown, mostly as he was unable to see his girlfriend who lived in York. He had said he wanted to go and visit her, but his mother Stella (43) had told him not to, becase of the lockdown restrictions. The BBC reported that it is thought Owen may have set off on a 280-mile walk to see his girlfriend in Pocklington, East Yorkshire.
The Police reported that Owen walked south along Bannings Vale at about 18:50, and may have turned into Hamsey Road. Owen is described as white, 6ft tall, of athletic build, and with short brown hair. He was wearing a black or dark hooded top, grey tracksuit trousers and white trainers.
Owen has not made contact with friends or family since the day he left the house.
