Renata Antczak: Missing Person (2017)

On the 25th April, 2017, Renata Antczak (49) disappeared after dropping her youngest daughter off at school in Kingswood. She was reported missing by her dentist husband Dr Majid Mustafa that night. The investigation quickly became a murder investigation, as Renate made no contact with her family, did not access their bank account, and there were no verifiable sightings of her.

In May 2017 Renata's prtner, Majid Mustafa, was charged with ‘conspiracy to administer a noxious substance’ - along with an accomplice. It was discovered that, suspecting Renata of having an affair, Majid tried to get a friend to obtain the "date rape" drug GHB so he could use it on his wife and unlock her iPhone with her fingerprint. Majid would be sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to 'intentionally encouraging an offence'.

Majid Mustafa has always strongly denied any involvement in his wife’s disappearance, despite their marriage difficulties. It is believed Renata asked for a divorce shortly before she disappeared. Mustafa was asked by a Polish television news crew if he had killed Renata, and he replied: “No, of course not, if every man whose wife want a divorce will kill her, the world will probably end.”
